so those 2 harvest medals account for 25 medal points .. anyone spot what gives the remaining 10 medal points ??

I just sent in a ticket for The Archotage mission. It is dropping last year's artifact which will not upgrade this year's "Captured T.O. Harvester" and "T.O. Harvest Vault".

Guessing it is for using this year's Harvest Aegis (base) or Harvest Shield Upgrade (ship). Previous years gave 10 points.

Note: I upgraded my Harvest Shields and did not receive any medal for it.

Are the archotage Transmitters spawning for anyone? Kept mission open for like an hour and a half yesterday but nothing.

Nope, 5k NPCs with the mission open so far and ziltch.

Archotage Amplifiers are fixed for current year, but Not sure if Archotage transmitters are spawning yet or if Archtage planetary events are happening.

Just found out what the other 10 medal points are for after getting the Evolving Harvest medal:

Planetary Collection (10)
Colonize 4 or more 'Very Large' or larger planets during 'The Era of Harvest' event.

So it IS a follow up medal then

There is no extra reward but if the last planet you colonize happens to be a vl or higher planet, you will complete Evolving Harvest and have 1 progress toward this next one

Thanks. Medal points aren't worth colonizing junk at this point so not going to bother.

Dan should probably have rewarded the Vaults of Terra for the colonization medals instead of the Era of Harvest medals. maybe he'll consider that for next year ...

for myself, i abandoned and re.colonized an ecumenopolis with a reactive barrier to put a t.o. terrafounder on (i lose a bane psybeacon but it hadn't had any upgrades, so not a severe loss).

for the crystal, i will be abandoning a VL 15x that i own to re.colonize and place a t.o. terrafounder.

i just invaded a gaia .. that i will strip, abandon, re.colonize for the medal, then abandon and alert to legion.

and i have an unoccupied standard VL vorigar on hand to colonize for the medal, hopefully triggering 1 round of progress on the subsequent medal, then abandon and alert that one to the legion.

so 5 abandons = 25 GP for the 15 medal points.

just don't have enough extractors on hand (0 at the moment) to do rescue everything at once .. so patience required ..

Yeah, that math doesn't work for me personally...I'd rather spend the 25 GP to abandon planets I don't want to keep, haha!

Currently sitting on 3600 medal points, which are more than enough for anything I can access right now. For Vaults of Terra, I'd have considered spending the GP for the medal, but not just for medal points.

well i get terrafounders on 2 of my existing planets that i had invaded and didn't feel like stripping at the time. the other 2 planets will indeed be ones that i don't plan on keeping .. but can be used by legion members so i'm willing to take that hit.

i have a dozen planets that i am willing and ready to abandon .. just need about 40 extractors to get to them all. by that time we should have about the same number of planets lol.

i am down to 28 large sized planets (the smallest size i have outside of futbawls) .. 3 will get boosted with compressors .. a couple will get stripped and abandoned .. so that should take me down to around 20 large.
