Can somebody tell me what my sensors should be for doing a scan blitz. I am currently rank 167 and found 238 planets so far.

i had 289 planets and needed 3100, so i'd recommend that or higher or spend some time doing the "Stellar Cartography" mission to get your planet count down again

Doesn't matter what your scan is. It only matters what you do after your last scan blitz.
1) Delete all the worlds you can - Star Chart Purgers.
2) Upgrade your scanners from the ones you used last time.
3) Use every scan bonus artifact you have and fill up on the best scanners.
