Kalvium Fortified Plating permanent?

 Is the Kalvium Fortified Plating permanent or something?

yes. and it is the best hull module in the game.

Yes it is. It is a module that stays with your ship until you uninstall it or sell it like any other. The 5% hull bonus is a package deal from the hull itself and stays as long as the hull is equipped.
