Is there anyway to increase the chance of getting dysillon and kurenite as i have never got either of them, but my friend who is a lower level gets them regularly

Rank is the sole deciding factor in the quality of minerals you receive.

what rank can i expect to start getting dysillon and kurenite

you will get it occasionally no matter what rank you are, if you harvest enough minerals, I can attest to getting kuerite and deiteron in my L30s and L40s.

Contrary to popular opinion it always appeared to me that the amount of higher level minerals I get was effected not by my rank, but either buy the total minerals/hour gathered, or the building level on the planets (it's hard to say which it is, because when you upgrade your buildings you get more minerals.)

Still the way everyone religiously dictates it's rank alone I guess that is the word from DAN though I have never tried searching the forums to find out if it really is..

I got a Kurenite at rank 18

I got one Dysillon around the same level, i was happy

Kuren gave me a Kurenite at rank 32

I looked it up, and Dan ONLY said that he INCREASED the amount of rare minerals for higher ranks SLIGHTLY in an update back in April.

Here is my off the cuff experience. I remember getting random occasional kurites and dylsons and stuff in 1s and 2s as far back as my Rank 20s. but I have always been ahead of the curve in upgrading buildings and I always have always had good mining planets to run them on. I can't say for certain but I think that the rare minerals are a function of:

1. The level of your mining buildings
2. The total Minerals/hour you are receiving
3. The Total minerals you have stored up
4. The Amount of free cargo space you have
5. Your Rank

When I was 'younger' I seemed to get kurite after many hourly clicks of minerals or a few nearly full shipments and a cargo hold that was large enough to take the shipments in large amounts but not full amounts.

Also I haven't confirmed this it it appears that you get more rare minerals on a shipment you do not take in full when you are at higher levels, I can't be certain but I think that Dan may be 'converting' minerals of a lower level to minerals of a higher level in the shipments, meaning you 'use' more from the shipment to take up less pace. that just a theory, I haven't bothered to spade it, and it's honestly rather annoying to use the trade screen enough as it is so I'll leave that up to someone else.

okay cool. so then the reason I see 'more amount received' as being 'more' kurite is because the percentage received stays the same but I'm edging over the threshold to receive some at all sooner! =)

all levels....you just get more the higher you are.....when you hit rank 85 there seems to be a huge jump in the money you start getting
