When new players join the game, they will be given the option of joining a legion as a trainee during the tutorial or via the Legion tab. If they accept, they will be placed in a random legion that has at least one free training slot. (If a player wishes to join a *specific* legion that they choose, they can still do so, but they will not be considered a trainee, and will not take up a training slot)

Legions will be notified when trainees join, but they are always auto-approved. Trainees will also be shown in the legion list with their position listed as Trainee.

Leaders will be able to designate that their legion has a set number of training slots (up to 10). More can be unlocked via the Academy base module reward.

A trainee will graduate after reaching rank 50 while in a legion, and become a standard member.

All activities that are performed by the trainees will be saved as overall trainee progress for the legion. As more trainees progress through various tasks, new base modules will be unlocked as rewards.

Other than some restrictions (see below), a trainee has the same options as a normal member and can participate in all legion activities that their rank allows.

Additional details:

  • Players can only join as a trainee if they are under rank 20 and have been playing for 30 days or less.
  • Players can join legions as a trainee up to 3 times. (That is, they can choose to leave their current legion and join another random legion up to 3 times).
  • Trainees will only be assigned to legions that have active members. Legions with higher numbers of active members are preferred when performing matching.
  • Trainees cannot be promoted until they graduate, but they may always re-join as a standard, non-trainee member if they wish.
  • If a trainee leaves a legion for any reason *after* rank 20, they will not be able to graduate, as they will not be able to join another legion as a trainee. A trainee will need to remain with the same legion until they finish their training in order for the legion to receive credit for the graduation.

In addition to basic combat and non-combat statistics, The following additional stats are tracked for all trainees:

Attendance - number of distinct days that the trainee has logged into the game. Does not need to be consecutive. Graduate Tenure - Number of consecutive days that the active graduate has currently remained within the legion. The Graduate's days as a trainee also count towards this total.
