Mission Briefing

Fleets of ships, identified as the Elios, are migrating from settlements in the coronas of young stars in a number of different systems. The technology used to either shield or propel the Elios is causing major cosmic radiation feedback to surrounding areas.

The Elios seem uninterested in helping to prevent the resulting damage of their movements, and due to this negligence, ships are asked to intercept them.

During the Elios Migration 2015 (July 4 - July 29), the following temporary effects applied to the entire Galaxy:

* Exotic Matter is more common during mineral acquisition.
* Cloning Pods require an additional 200 energy to use.
* When scanning for planets, there is a chance that you will discover an Elios Solar Inverter.

During the Elios Migration 2014, the following temporary effects applied to the entire Galaxy:

* Exotic Matter is more common during mineral acquisition.
* Population on planets grows at ⅓ of the rate as before.
* Cloning Pods require an additional 100 energy to use.

Mission Dialogue

Regardless of whether the Elios are causing this damage accidentally, we have to stop them... or billions will die.
Contact them, and convince their fleet to back down... at least until we have further information.

We are... Elios. What is the purpose of your contact?

Are you responsible for the stellar activity we have been detecting recently ?

It is possible.

Your movements are releasing intense amounts of cosmic radiation into our systems!

...

And as a result, our colonies are reporting significant casualties.

...

There must be a way that you can proceed without affecting us in this way.

This migration is part of our growth... We cannot alter it.

I'm not sure if you understand. We can't allow any further activity if it continues to kill our citizens.

You cannot interfere.

We will, but we can work together on a solution if you're willing to try.

The migration will continue... {CHANNEL CLOSED}

Well, that didn't get us anywhere.

Then we have no choice. We'll have to stop their egress by force..

What do you have in mind ?

Track their movements and find out where they are headed. We'll have ships start intercepting immediately.

It may take some time. They have several groups of ships heading in what seems to be random directions.

This is your top priority. Countless lives are at stake.

End Transmission.
Risks: An extra mini-challenge is required at the final step before completion.
