Influence is a planetary resource used by legions to get and maintain control of zones in the galaxy. Legions compete to become the top influencer, known as the Suzerian, of one or more zones to benefit from unique bonuses those zones provide.
Applying influence to a zone has a cost in influence and energy which varies by zone. The amount of influence which is actually applied to a zone is reduced (currently at an unknown rate) depending on the total amount of influence your legion currently has in use. The more influence your legion has in use, the lower the amount that will be applied with future contributions until it reaches 1 per contribution.
