Daily Mission Briefing
The Shadow Lab has been studying a strange device we uncovered on Balphis, a remote Aphotic rogue world that has since been developing as a satellite research base. Its origins are still a mystery.
Mission Dialogue
Still, we have learned a great deal about the device, despite it being permanently embedded within Balphis.
What is its purpose?
It was intended to create some kind of stable dimensional void within the planet, but the process was halted.
A void to... where?
The glyphs seem to infer that the voids are used to hide the planet. It is not clear that they lead to anywhere navigable... but there's no way to determine that.
Has the device been... restarted?
Not yet. We believe the design can be duplicated... crudely... based on ore available within Balphis. We'd like to test it on other similar worlds first.
Other Rogue planets?
Yes. Aphotics. Or Chthonian-like.
Any idea on its creator?
The glyphs are not in a language we're familiar with. Though our algorithms have been able to piece together some syntax for its design, we do not know its author.
