im baffled at the last stmt...parser upgrades would be only 1 of several vision possbilities...all the rest of which have some what sounds like good possible effects... i would agree with you that some would become /maybe already are semantic for high rank ships...although 90% invade fail is there...double 90% fail very unlikely...virtually endless # of stations to upgrade....always nice to get planet effects...etc etc

Up to 6 invade visions in a row, sort of annoyed with that.

i've had 3 planetary event visions in a row. the only annoying thing for me is that i keep getting those an hour or two AFTER my daily upkeep timer .. so i have to wait another day to hit the reset button since you can only have 1 vision in effect at a time.

Kinda confused about how Corruption work. It is supposed to be a bad side effect of using the Eye too frequently... So I'm speculating the market will be some kind of Bad Side Effect : 5 Corruption -> -5% production on all planets, etc.
It will be interesting if there will be a negative consequence for hoarding up those Corruptions :P

I'm not sure where this idea of a bad side effect came from, but I'm certainly hoping it's not true. Acquiring the Eye was an expensive undertaking in itself, so it should have fantastically good abilities....not abilities with negative consequences. And there are already timers on the abilities to prevent you from using them "too frequently", so I'm not sure what this means. The visions we've found aren't too bad, but it'll be nice to see what the corruption market holds when it opens up someday....

I was baffled by that comment too. Being able to upgrade all those adumbrate stations boosts your arti production over time and that's probably the most important number in the game. The vision of conquering is cool unless your planet slots are all full (or have nothing worth the cost of invasion) and have to wait out that longer timer for the vision to expire. The vision of prosperity might be better -- so far all I've gotten are the common, temporary planetary events when this appears to work (sometimes it's just disappeared without appearing to give me any planetary event at all). I was kind of hoping that you could luck into some better, more permanent planet buffs with this vision in place but I haven't encountered that yet.

I actually like the effects of the ability thus far.

Sure, getting the invade thing is quite annoying, especially if you get it twice within that days two uses.

The planetary event thing is nice enough too as is the ability to upgrade stations and parsers.

I still would like to see at least 2 more effects added, if only to lower the odds on getting the 2x invade roll. It's far too common as an effect for it's power.

Maybe I read through the topic too fast, but is the cargo corruption permanent or a temporary effect? It sounds permanent.

Permanent so far.

Unlocked the ability today and got the invasion thing as well. Now that I can see it for myself, my assumption is that the cargo space will be freed up once we can spend the corruption on artis, assuming that ever gets implemented lol.

I don't get why you are baffled more like you miss understood what I meant or I was a NF and didn't get my words across right.

I think the corruption ability that reset's the main ability will stop being used once people get the medal/parser upgrades.

I like the main ability don't me wrong, but the corruption ability will hit a dead end.

Once I have my parser upgrades and the medal in the bag, I'll use the main ability but not the corruption. Then I'll let the invasion visions time out because I don't feel like spending 1T credits invading every day (I'm not that desperate for a chance at a 1:2 planet mod.).

It can't be spent and I doubt it ever will be so what is the point in gaining more once you get the medal? A chance at two station upgrades rather than one once a week?

All I can say is unless there is more to the corruption part of the ally "FOR ME" its going to hit a dead end fast. A very expensive dead end.

Got this one today for my 2nd effect with the ally:

Quote:
Vision of Prosperity
(You are guaranteed to experience a planetary event within the next 24 hours, in addition to any other possible events that may occur normally.)
(2 days, 23 hours left)

Hope I get something awesome, or at least my 2nd hijacker lol.

A correction to a previous statement I made in this thread as a result of much more experience with the Eye. As far as some of us can tell, the vision of prosperity is actually at best a hit-or-miss proposition. I have had at least 2 visions of prosperity just go "poof" and another member of my legion has reported 3 visions of prosperity just go "poof" at our daily planet effect times. No planet effect reported of any type -- the effect just drops off our ship, so the "guarantee" doesn't appear to work at all yet. So far, I've gotten 2 ho-hum planetary events, 1 blockade, and at least 2 "poofs". And, there's just no way to know whether the actual events we did get were the result of vision or just the normal random daily event chance since they occur at exactly the normal daily planetary event chance time for us (even the "poofs").

Reports have not even been responded to in some cases. In the one case of a response that has been reported in our legion, the response was actually just to reset the vision on the guy's ship (which didn't actually make him very happy since it meant he had to wait another day to see if he was going to get his effect and it messed with his timing on reusing the Eye's abilities since you can't have 2 visions on at the same time).

So, at this point, the vision of prosperity is not actually as beneficial as I was thinking it would be given given the fact that it doesn't yet appear to "guarantee" anything and we're not even 100% sure it's even working at all since all we've seen are occasional normal planetary events that happen exactly when we would expect normal chance events to occur and there is no way to tell if they're just normal random events or the result of the vision of prosperity.

Did you or they invade or colonize a planet that day that got an effect, because that would count as a guaranteed effect.

I've had the guaranteed effect 3 times myself and all 3 times the effect disappeared at upkeep time, which coincided with 2 events occurring each time. Note: I am a Governor, so it's easier for me to get 2 events to see if it's working.

"Reveals one of many visions"

How many are there so far? Only the three that are on the first post? :?

I can confirm the disappearing effect.
Got the "guarantee" yesterday about half an hour before Daily Upkeep was due, which promptly disappeared without any planet effect after the Daily Upkeep ticked over.
No invade, no colonisation just disappeared granting me a big fat nothing, which as a Governor didn't make me exactly happy.
So there is definitely a glitch of some kind, or a fundamental misunderstanding of what guarantee means :P

I got an effect:

Quote:
2 hours, 34 mins ago
Lassucia reports that Pure Deposits have been discovered on the planet. Mining production on the planet will increase by 10% for 1 week.

I used the eye again and got the same buff so I'll check again tomorrow to make sure I actually get one.

Got the effect 3x in a row now. I had a planetary effect the first two times. I am waiting for the next upkeep event to see if I get a third. It seems to be working.

Do we have any information if the improved Base raid yields higher cap crystals? Or is the Scan and double up buidling upgrade it?

I seem to be getting the planetary effect option the most. I really hope that trend continues.
