How about a daily mission that takes tri-phase upgrades and makes a further upgrade ?

6 mining 600 attack seems ok to me

First we would need a better way to get the Phase Cutter upgrades in the first place. Almost no one bothers to lock level 5 bases.

Perhaps via a useless NPC like the FlameHawks ?

the whole point of the suggestion from my POV is to JUSTIFY locking level 5 bases.

besides, TPCs are extractable .. so if you want them, they are already readily available without touching level 5 bases.

Those are useless for a reason, though - to dilute the spawn pool so that you're not getting the useful stuff all of the time.

they aren't even useless. I sure like 15% attack buffs. Most people just npc enough to permanently have that buff active.

Tbh I dont feel this is a good use idea. Even doubling triphases likely wouldn't make locking 5s a positive value proposition over the crystal and ctp producing 6s/7s. As for making triphases not just clutter up cargo, make them scrap for a small amount of ctp like adumbrates so they aren't worthless.

Tri-Phase Cutters do scrap for CTP; 2-4 each. You just have to build and extract them.

Almost all upgrade artifacts scrap for credits, so I think it makes sense as is.
