Just curious what the game experience is like for people with over 300k ap?

I know from talking with so many folks, that a growing community exists at and above this threshold.

Curious what the challenges..goals..play style etc is for these folks....

There are probably even a handful over 400k now, which would have seemed ludicrous a year ago, but now is just another number.

Changes in game experience are so gradual over time that I didn't really notice (or remember) much difference tbh.
100k, 200k, 300k, 400k, 485k *shrugs* All just a bit more clicking each day.

We did the math and theory crafted this a while back.

Basically somewhere around 200 to 250k ap things shift to where your fastest method of gaining ap no longer comes from NPCing.
Assumptions of you don't throw money at the game and buy planets
You cant npc more than 10 to 15 hours a week.
Don't recall the assumptions for buying a planet with extra ctp gained
Both are in a legion with a healthy amount of elite alerts to get necessary artis for planet building

The logic being that you're purger gain is how many planets you can scan and we were averaging a good ap planet every 450ish planets.
So scanning for one hour every week with the purgers you made that week averaged more ap production gains than the 10 to 15 hours of NPCing. So a collector can play 2 hours a week and make more ship growth than someone trying to NPC their way to the top unless the NPCER really commits some time

Short version the difference is huge, you can just scan with your play time at 300k. At 100k you can't do much.

The assumptions we used have to be off by now but would be on the high side. Much easier these days scanning inactive 20x ap planets and planet prices are different.

ty good input....certainly makes sense that the probability of scanning combined with the easy of making purgers combos for a nice synergy...that combined with the drop off of many npcs at higher ranks and bang for you buck timewise...

ty very much for the info.

I see bright lights sometimes when I log into the game now.... that didn't used to happen at all.
Also, women approach me pretty regularly and I catch them giving me longing stares. It's like they can sense I have a space ship.
Lastly, I do a lot more clicking in the game.

I guess that's about it.
