What are decks?

Post subject:  What are decks?
Ok this is a super minor zero-priority gripe that I don't really expect will ever be changed, but I'm gonna put it out there anyway.

I vote that "Decks" be called something else. What are decks? Traditionally they are occupyable levels of a ship. When I think of a ship with 200 decks, I think of a skyscraper in space. Does my Soup-Powered Cheese Cannon REALLY take up 20 levels of my ship, or is it really just a BFG strapped to the hull?

Here are some alternatives to calling it "Decks":
Size
Space
Hardpoints
Structure

I'll be quiet now, that was just one little thing that always bugged me. :D

On stats, it shows space. On the Ship crew and size, it shows decks. Confusing that 2 terms are used. Standardize it and call them Deck space :)

But seems changing space -> deck space may not fit in the left hand side stats...
