How is it that I can invade a planet with more than 30k def, but when I try to invade a planet with Zero def and Zero attack, I fail with a 90% chance... Who's calculator is being used???? If the planet has no defense/attk, the invasion chance should be 99.99%.

Because the remaining 10 colonists could have been jacked up to prepare for invasion defense. Jacked up colonists can be pretty tough to beat

Think of is as a last stand that 10%. There are many points in history where a small band of brave warriors have held out against a overwhelming odd to gain victory in the end. I mean if earth was invaded by a clearly out More powerful and stronger enemy that wipped out our fleets and decimated the population there would still be a small number of fighters by some dumbfounded luck could avert the invasion and turn the tide into our favor. Pop a few QBVs on that sucker and BOOM! The planet's pop will have shrunk dramatically.
