Post subject:  New NPC/CT lab idea.

So, i thought about this a while ago and figured i might as well post it.

How about a device, that increases both shield and hull by 25% for 2 days.
Something like:

The Attero Device. Yeah, borrowed the name from a TV show, 'cause i couldn't think of anything, feel free to change it.
Connecting this device to your ship trough a sub-space frequency will temporarily allow your ships structural integrity and deflection capacity to far exceed that of normal circumstances. (or something)
Possible CT Lab Discovery:
Cost:
35 XCharge Cells. 35 Durtanium Brackets. 50 Shield Amps. 50 Nanite Swarms.
Like mentioned above, this will increase both shield and hull by 25% for 2 days.
This effect will of course be immune to removal.

Possible Drop from a new NPC.
Terran Outsider Vanguard.
Rank 1000 Elite Capital Ship
Extremely Rare
Share-able 500-5000
This ship is the Pride of the Terran Outsiders defensive fleet. Built to defend key Terran installations and planets throughout the galaxy.
180.000 Shield.
140.000 Hull.
Enemy Type Elite 4
Rewards Up to 4
Abilities The Terra Effect. (will sometimes increase its own attack and defense by 25% temporarily)
Attack 17.100
Defense 20.000
Drops:
T.O. Terra Generator. size: 32, shield 360. limit 2. (an upgrade to the obsolete Shield Generator)
T.O. Protective barrier. Planet structure, size: 2, 2 artifact, 2 mineral, 2 research. + 10% defense. when first installed, choose between +1 arti/res/min +10% extra defense(total 20%).
The Attero device. This device will increase both shield and hull by 25% for 2 days.

So, any thoughts on this? As with all my posts, details are negotiable, if something seems over- or under-powered, let me know, and it can be fixed.

25% for both seems over powered a bit, BUT, its just hull and shield, which people at those ranks have plenty of anyways..
I like the idea.. a sort of CAELON for the lab.

+1 to either idea.... but mostly +1 to the NPC idea... as Dan said we're getting new/upgraded npc's(supposedly), so this would be a great one.

I like the idea For the Npc the CT lab cost is to much for a temp effect.

I do feel that is pretty beastly for a rank 500 to see though maybe a 600 or 900 when you loose most other elite npc's.

15 XCharge Cells. 15 Durtanium Brackets. 30 Shield Amps. 30 Nanite Swarms. How about this?

And yes, i know that is a tough NPC for a rank 500, but, there are other tough ones out there for low ranks. Hyperport 600+(i know its a top 10). Zebeeren, 300-5000.
But, yeah, maybe your right. Maybe it should start a little higher than 500.
Or... It could be Nerfed a bit, to fit more with rank 500?
Or, you could make it way, way more powerful, and have it replace the Telarys Carrier at 2000?
Still seems to me like a good idea, that just needs a little bit of detail work.

Its should definitely replace the Telarys Carrier.
