This idea is way better then the attack button on the main screen. This way you can still have the ship screen up see the health and everything and it still saves several clicks. I love this idea and think its one of the better ideas for making npcing better yet. So +1 from me.

I agree with mojo that this is probably the best suggestion of this type yet.
This would save quite a lot of clicking when someone is on an NPC run. +1

Best small scale suggestion in a very long time, the mouse dragging after each NPC is a pain

One problem,

You get a Warp, One of the New NPCs, any boss.
You still have to click off the NPC to click onto another NPC.

Then you still have to click off the NPC and refresh the tab to get more NPC to move onto the next.

Where the Attack now button will save clicking on the NPC and clicking the next NPC.
It will reduce the amount of additional clicks and speed up the mashing up of the NPC's

But at the end of the day, as long as one get add in.
Prefer the less clicking of the attack now button over this.

I do see your point I really do but with the attack now button a lot of Dans work goes missing. When you click on the NPC you have several screens you can go to and he put a lot of work into making it that way for us. Yes if you get a boss or something like that then you will have to click off and open up a new one but with your attack now button you would have to click it open to see that you locked and then click the share anyways then click back out and keep going. Then once it died you again would have to do the same thing and refresh the screen if it bothered you that much. (which it would me. lol) However with the next button in the NPC screen if you filled your first six spots you wouldn't need to scroll down every time and attack the next one. And what, would Dan add some sort of auto refresh or respawn for the attack button? How would you not have to refresh the screen every time you kill a NPC that way? It would be like killing a NPC now and just clicking out of the screen not the x and the NPC is still there even if its died. That way seems like a lot more work then just allowing the next button being the same as the x button.

Agreed, -1 to this idea

I see where he is coming from so I've edited another screen shot with something that is already implemented into GL maybe this will work better? Updated first post!

In this case you would be able to use the Quick tab at anytime, not just on dead NPC's
Only thing is this way adds an extra click!
Other quick tab buttons such as debuffs, could be put in the quick tab eventually being added to PvP maybe.
Both ideas make it so you don't need to open and close the NPC tab, saving on clicking and lag.

This would make npcing far too easy and vastly increase the speed in which the items from npcing are gained.

why not have it like that though mento... whilst im loving the game still, and can autorank without issue, i really do hate all the EXTRA clicking that isnt REALLY required. so what if people get their rewards from npcing quicker.. theyre going to get them just the same as everyone is going to get them. there is zero reason to streamline the gameplay.

Way I see it, make the main aspects of the game, PVP and NPCing much more enjoyable and much more rewarding.
That way you will feel like you are making more progress, more players will keep playing, more players spending GP.

in addition. im getting sick and tired of having to NPC for HOURS on end, why not have it go faster, so i can do other stuff as well. i love chatting with my legion. if i could effectively chat and npc at the same time (less clicking will help) then why not go for it.

After looking over this idea a couple times I have to say +0 its a rather good idea but it is next to useless to someone who cant hit the damage cap and have to be picky about what they attack, take for example a lower rank who gets tech collectors or assassins they normally have to skip them, making the whole "attack next" pointless seeing as they have to close down the npc and manually pick the next one like we already do.

True but in time they will want it to. So it is for them just as much as us. Besides you don't have to use it if you don't want to. They could just exit out and pick the one they wanted next anyways.

I know mojo that more or less relegates this to a cosmetic change to the game seeing as it only speeds things up by maybe half a second, maybe 1-2 seconds if you got a slow internet connection.

It's less time more convenience. There's no real downside (in playability terms) to this.

And no real benefit other then the "oh cool" factor, just saying while i can see the idea i dont see much profit from it will it make NPCing faster? not really. will it help you in any noticeable manner? once again not really. As i mentioned in my last post its purely a cosmetic change. it would in fact take the very same number of clicks and the same loading time.
