I think this would be a fun way to compare stats and such. If your not comfortable putting information then don't. A lot of people don't seem to have names similar to their account names so if you do and don't feel comfortable don't post. If you do energy while your afk just post your max stats when you have war gear on =D

I personally love defensive builds no matter what game I play that way I take smaller damage and can inflict a bit more on my opponent. I also just switch cloak out if I need it. The scan is in order to lower the amount people get when I get hacked with a good possibility to hack back. I plan to add cloak later when I can afford the space.

Well that is good.. but as of right now this game lacks reasons to be attacking or defending that much.. the end result just isn't that great.. you don't get very many rewards for it or anything worth it IMO

Some ideas for additional bonuses/rewards from battle have been proposed in the suggestions area. What would you like to see?

Well.. honestly it just seems like battling each other right now in the game isn't viable or needed... you get no bonus's or money... just a tad bit of experience that really isn't worth it.. the ONLY reason there is to attack people for me really is because some missions say i need to disable a certain number of people... i really only goto the battle section to hack every so often in the hope of research... I think battleing and stuff would be better if when you fight someone and actually disable them if you have a good chance and 1) salaving money, research, artifacts, items... or a chance to take one of their items... and the only able to hack or raid every 4 or 5 hours.. kinda cuts back on wanting to do that too.. even then the reward is barely worth it especially at higher levels of game play.

Don't get me wrong the game is frickin awesome... but it seems that the game is great for low level... starts to run out of rewards for mid level.. and high level... there's not a whole lot to compete for.

I think that depending on your level when you fight and disable someone you should get a chance at gaining some of their money or items or research points or ORE.. or something.. that would honeslty make wanting to have defense and attack (other then for missions) more wanted and make people put points in att/def crew (i know that's going to be changed some about att/def crew)

I've said it alot.. but battling just doesn't give much insintive to do it

I think he is correct. I haven't been attacked in a long time (just attacked not disabled even) and I haven't really attacked a person unless I need them off of a planet. I would suggest increasing exp again so that you could maybe even level viably off of just killing people over and over. Would definitely make it pretty fun. But drastically reduce it if the person who kills you is below you. Obviously if your high level your not gonna like it, but it may slow the crazy amount of leveling so that people are equaled.

I don't think taking ore/artifacts or anything from the person you killed outside of raiding/hacking is the way to go tho. Its kinda like kicking a dead horse, however I do agree that at lvl 78 (even tho there are tons of people above me) no one is attacking people there level unless we hate eachother.

The experience I think would be good as it would reflect the amount of energy put into disabling a person.

Sounds good. I think there can be a "base xp awarded" anytime you attack (rather than just winning). plus the following bonuses:

* xp Bonus if your ship "won" (did more damage than the ship did to you)
* xp Bonus if your ship "won" and the target ship was higher level
* Big xp bonus if you disable the target ship (regardless of damage) based on level

When I introduce the medals feature, there will be other types of awards based on a variety of battle factors.

the better XP would be nice also.. i just like the fact of possibly getting other stuff... but ya know i'm a Borg fan... assimalate #&$# and make it your own lol

I have to agree. Right now, I only attack people for these reasons:

1. Mission requirement
2. Retribution (Hack THIS, #$&*@!)
3. Get my displayed reputation up to something more intimidating than "Fuzzy Bunny" or whatever

If people stood to gain something from attacks, it might even be more incentive to boost crew and not simply put all points into deck/cargo. As I level, I'm seeing more and more that decks are the only truly important stat, with cargo being a distant 2nd. I'd like to see ALL stats be equally important, more attacking might lead to more tactical & helmsmen as people reach for any edge they can get.

I'd also like to see hacking changed a bit... Less cooldown, and a chance to get away without being identified (chance based on scan vs stealth) might lead to some interesting PvP builds.

with most games that i've EVER seen... attacking usually lets you level up as fast or even faster then doing missions (since missions have a set standard needed and attacking is actually PVP meaning it's your build/skills against another real person's). Alot of games i remember playing i would usually ONLY attack because they have nice XP and rewards over the missions.

I agree. If i can hack in I should have a good chance of getting out undetected as well. Not a garauntee but a good chance. Maybe even leave a back door open for future hacks or something. Or a virus, ya a steal research over time till they catch it virus, hahhahaa.
