just got another tranquil monolith installed on an old planet. in looking to designate the next tranquil target using my spreadsheet, i noticed something that triggered my curiosity (dangerous, i know).

i have a planet that i conquered 09apr2017. but the 'last attacked' hovertip indicates 'planet has never been attacked'.

i have a planet that i conquered 13apr2017. that hovertip still indicates 'last attacked 2 years, 8 months ago'

according to my spreadsheet, the latter planet was invaded 1000 days ago. so i will check tomorrow to see if the former war zone has now successfully returned to blissful peace. too bad real life didn't have such a reset button ...

the one that was at 1000 days now indicates 'never been attacked' .. so we can indeed have peace in our time !

A member who was leaving abandoned a planet for me. I was short on Arti artifacts, so I used Tranquil Monolith for the resources, and expected 5% cloak. Instead, I got 50% because the planet had never been attacked. Since I'd previously used it on planets I had invaded, I tended to think of the planet age as being what I needed to look at.

So far, every Unoccupied planet I've taken and used Tranquil monolith on, has gotten the 50% bonus. It would be interesting to see whether a planet which had been invaded and abandoned would get the 50% bonus, or whether the attack history sticks with the planet.

attack history (and any temporary planet buffs) definitely stick with a planet even after abandons.

i added a section to the Planetary Invasion page on the wiki, listing all the planetary artifacts (and abilities) that key off of invasions.

I am seeing some planets I know I attacked that are now saying has never been attacked. I will be curious to see how much ctp the orion menageries abilities give when the planets they are placed on eventually go to this status. Knowing this game it will probably b 1 ctp.

that would actually be kind of neat .. if you don't collect at the 999 day mark, you get the minimum 0 or 3 ctp if you come back after 5 years of inactivity.

another item to throw on my growing calendar of things to watch out for lol ...

my first menagerie will hit the 999 day mark 18jul2021, but that one only has 1 charge left (science, of course).

the next menagerie with 2 charges will hit the 999 day mark for me on 01aug2021, so i will collect at the 999 day mark, and then again at the 1001 day mark and see if it gets nerfed, caps at 3k, or increases beyond 3k.
