From the end of rank 88 to OOE rank 91.

Ok, heres what I had:
  • 1500 buffed attack (ACF and Obelisk)
  • 2500 energy (cube and tri matrix included)
  • 51 scan
  • 30-40 drannik sabs

Heres what I got:
  • 1 x Orbital Mass-Disruptor
  • Stryll Trap Probe (Uses Left: 4)
  • Dark Void Foci (Uses Left: 3)
  • 1 x Crimson Auto Phaser
  • 1 x Omicron Mine Trap (useless)
  • 1 x Rescued Prisoner
  • 1 x Stryll Seeker
  • 1 x Drannik Swarm Trap
  • 1 x Toxic Purifier
  • around 3000 Research points
  • about 40 ctp
  • 9 x Dark Badges

Not a bad little run really. I didnt do anything special, before you ask.

Not till you get to the mid 200's and can see Nexus and Hypergrids. Even at that, if autoranking/planet boosters is the goal, you want your scan to be low to avoid tab-clogging bosses.

ahhh thats what i was referring then :P
since i was after those npcs when i was in that rank range.. didnt know that you only needed 50 though for the better ones.. seems like i should unequip every scan item and just one a tach cylinder then... wonder what my BT would look like then as well

Wouldn't need a cylinder. Willing to bet you can't go under 50 scan because of tier rewards. (assuming you dont go sillix add mods then switch back making you poverty limit canceling their affect)

50 scan is the magic number. TO Troop Carriers and Blade Harvesters for example were given 50 cloak by Dan a good few months ago because some people were able to keep their scan below 50 and thus avoid those dreaded Stryll Assassins.

I worked out after I posted this that I was getting around 3.2 XP ratio with a Neural Interface. So if I can get my engineers and attack up just a little bit more, I should be able to autorank at around rank 120. Well I will probably need a good supply of Drannik Sabs though.

I looked at that (a while ago), and I think the mission tier rewards totalled about +35 scan.

With all mission Tier Scan rewards your scan has a min of 61.

Sweet, I missed the Flux Ringdisc's bonuses. That helps, thanks for letting me know about my oversight :).
